Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians

Thanksgiving celebration traditional dinner setting meal concept with copy space

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!! I know what all of the Americans are probably saying, that we have Thanksgiving so early. But to that I say, that they have Thanksgiving so late in the year, barely a month before Christmas. At least in October the weather can still be nice here in Canada!! In fact here in Ontario the fall colours are just starting to come out really nice!! This is one of my favorite times of the year with all the fall colours (more on that soon, in a future post) and just one of the many things that I am thankful for this time of year!!

Even with a global pandemic that looms heavy over us still, I can still find many reasons to be thankful!! My health, my friends and family!! The support of loved ones through even the most difficult circumstances!! Life never fails to throw tough stuff at us, and it is okay to be down at times!! We just need to be able to get back up and sometimes to lean on a friend and take a hold of their helping hand to get us through!!

There is no denying that life really sucks sometimes!! I personally have had some periods of being pretty down. But if there is one thing that this year has taught me is that each new day is a new opportunity to change things, however small in our lives!!

For instance, I have started a 30 Day challenge for diet, exercise, and some reading that I want to make a regular part of my life. I am just a week into it, but already I feel a change within me. I feel that I am starting to be more optimistic of what life throws at me. Don’t get me wrong, I have a long way to go and still often give in to fear!! But I am slowly starting to regain a confidence in myself and feel better about who I am!!

All this to say, that I am thankful to be alive!! Grateful for each new day and I am going to challenge myself to find things to be thankful for each and every day!! I invite you to do the same!!

Thanks for tuning into this edition of Let’s Talk Spanking!!

Look for more of the more traditional content that you all expect very soon!!

Warm Blessings to you all!

  1. Happy Thanksgiving! And, I hope you write more about your 30 day challenge…that sounds awesome! I am currently on a journey toward better health and wellness, as well. I feel so much better than I did one year ago. Congrats on making some positive changes!

    1. Thanks Nora!! Yes, I should post about my 30 Day Challenge on my blog!! I guess it is kind of a big deal!! Let’s just say that some things were getting a bit out of hand with improper eating and drinking too many alcoholic beers. That stuff goes right to my middle unfortunately. And when drinking with friends and family I can sometime be a bit stupid and drink way too much and then my gut hates me as does my head…lol.

This 30 Day Challenge is acting as a great refresh!! I will make a separate post about it soon Nora!! Thanks for taking an interest!!

      1. That sounds amazing, my friend! I too decided that I was drinking too much this year and have been completely sober since end of February…it has been so good for me 🙂
